During these crazy “corona times” my focus will be on all the remaining tournaments in my region. I played only two team matches this year because all matchdays were suspended.
Only a few tournaments are offered with relevance for the german tennis ranking. A journey of 2-3 hours is not uncommon.
Off to the German Championships 2020
It’s been a long way. It was hot. The match not worth mentioning. Nothing more to say about my performance at the German Championships 2020 on clay. A three hours drive for nothing ;). Only for one match.
I don’t want to complain. If you spend the 5-7 days per week sitting in front of your laptop and your are not committed to your practice sessions, you don’t deserve to win a match.
But I would go for such a road trip again and again – why? Because of the passion for this sport.
It’s like a recovery mode from my job. Signing in for the tournament, stringing my rackets, being on the road for three hours, warming up for the match and then focusing on the start. This is my way of bringing my mind into a relaxing mode 😉 Weather you win or lose.
Even though I lost my match at the German Championships, I had a great time. My preparation for the next season 2021 starts today.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the next season will be as normal as it can be.
Giving up is not an option. Go out and play. Weather you win or lose. It’s all about passion and commitment to one of the greatest sports.
Stay #inlovewithtennis
