There are many tennis courts around the globe. But only a few of them are very special. On some of them I have been allowed to play myself. I had the pleasure to play in the Olympic Station Munich, a container station or even in an underground car park – thx @worldclubtennis. But unfortunately, I’ve never played on an #ArtCourt.

The latest coup can be admired in Paris (Stade Racine in Clinchy). The court was created by designer Ysy (@TakeItYsy) and French street artist Stéphane Opéra (@operagraphiks).

“I love this sport precisely for such projects. It’s the special and creative ideas it needs to bring the sport of tennis to communities that haven’t thought about it before. Chapeau! Courtside X Lacoste – great initiative.”

This court is something very special. It will be open all year round for young people who cannot go on holiday. The whole thing was initiated by Lacoste, which is why top star Novak Djokovic and Mansour Bahrami were also present.

“What a highlight it would be to be allowed to play on this court for once. Courtside – are you ready for a match? I am ;)”

I am #inlovewithCourtside

Fabian

About the project

Etendart is a non-profit association that promotes access to sport, education through the conception of artistic and sports-inspired places.

Created at the end of 2018 by two sports enthusiasts, the association through the “Courtside” project also promotes integration by renovating sports facilities decorated by renowned artists and offers educational programs for young people in need.
