Once In A Life Time Experience #LaverCup

Two weeks ago I got a call from Wilson. “What are you doing September 20th, we have a special event for you.” I knew that during this time there is going to happen a very special event in Geneva, but I would never have dreamed of an invitation to the biggest tennis show of the year.

“You want me to come to the Laver Cup – are you kidding me? Of course, I am in and can’t wait.”

Early Bird Session

I already arrived on Thursday because Friday is not for late risers. Even though the day session starts at 1pm, we meet at 6.45am in front of the holy halls of the Palexpo fair, and with good reason.

Wow. Wow. This was my first time on a black painted court. The official Laver Cup balls (by Wilson) are waiting for us on the court as well as an extraordinary surprise.

ProStaff RF97 Laver Cup Edition

The demo practice session with Wilson was something very special. We were one of the first to hold the new ProStaff RF97 autograph in our hands and of course it went on court.

Club Lounge 200 and behind the scene

After our practice session and a delicious breakfast at the “Club 200 Lounge” (VIP Area) we got the chance to have a look behind the scene. My highlight was definitely on court seeing the legend Björn Borg with Dominic Thiem during a practice session.
